Grade 10.9 high tensile steel bolts are manufactured by Zhejiang Chance & Union Import and Export Co., Ltd. from quenched and tempered alloy steel. The grade designation refers to a nominal tensile strength of 1040 MPa and a yield strength ratio of 0.9. These bolts are produced through cold heading, hot forging, and CNC machining, followed by heat treatment and surface finishing. The product range covers hex bolts, socket head cap screws, flange bolts, and non-standard custom parts. With a 33,350 m² facility and an annual production capacity of 9,500 tons, we supply OEM and ODM orders to more than 25 countries.

Usage and Handling Notes
Grade 10.9 bolts are sensitive to hydrogen embrittlement. Surface treatments and baking processes are controlled according to specification requirements.
Torque values should be calculated based on thread size, lubrication, and joint design. Installation without controlled tightening may reduce joint reliability.
Reuse of high tensile bolts is not recommended in critical applications. Plastic deformation and thread damage can affect performance.
Storage in dry conditions is advised. Prolonged exposure to moisture may affect surface treatment and thread condition.
Grade 10.9 bolts should not be welded. Welding alters the microstructure and reduces mechanical properties.
