Metric Fender Flat Washers
Oversized flat washers with a large outer diameter for load distribution on soft, thin, or irregular surfaces
Metric fender flat washers are manufactured by Zhejiang Chance & Union Import and Export Co., Ltd. with an outer diameter larger than a standard flat washer of the same nominal size. The increased bearing surface spreads clamp load over a wider area, reducing the risk of pull-through and surface deformation when fastening soft materials, thin sheet metal, slotted holes, and irregular surfaces. These washers are produced from carbon steel, stainless steel, and brass through stamping, punching, and surface finishing. The product line covers fender washers, oversized flat washers, and non-standard custom washer dimensions. Supported by a 33,350 m² facility and an annual production capacity of 9,500 tons, we supply OEM and ODM orders to more than 25 countries.
Outer and Inner Diameter Accuracy
Outer diameter, inner diameter, and thickness are controlled through stamping dies and gauging to maintain consistent bearing area and fit on the bolt shank.
Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass
Material selection is matched to the joint environment. Stainless steel grades are used for moisture and chemical exposure, while carbon steel is used with plating for general industrial assembly.
Surface Condition
Washer faces are kept flat and free from burrs that could affect seating or damage coated and painted surfaces during tightening.
High-Volume Stamping
Automated stamping and punching lines support high-volume orders with a 9,500-ton annual production capacity and coordinated raw material supply.
Certified Processes
ISO9001 and IATF16949 certified processes with digital traceability from raw material to final inspection.
Non-Standard Dimensions
Outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, and material are produced according to customer drawings and application requirements.
Product Characteristics
Application Areas
Automotive
Body panels, trim, and plastic components where fastener load must be spread over a wider area.
Electrical Equipment
Control boxes, mounting plates, and enclosures made from thin-gauge sheet metal.
HVAC and Ductwork
Duct panels, flanges, and insulation covers where slotted or oversized holes are common.
Furniture and Fixtures
Wood, particle board, and composite panels that require load distribution under the fastener head.
Roofing and Cladding
Sheet metal roofing, siding, and trim where a large bearing surface reduces panel deformation.
General Assembly
Slotted holes, oversized clearances, and soft mating surfaces in industrial and consumer products.
Usage Notes
Washer inner diameter should match the bolt or screw shank. An oversized inner diameter reduces the effective bearing area under the head.
Washer thickness affects clamp load distribution. Thicker washers are used where higher preload or softer parent material requires greater support.
Fender washers are not hardened unless specified. They should not be used as a substitute for hardened structural washers in high-strength bolted connections.
Dissimilar materials in the joint should be checked for galvanic corrosion risk. Washer material and coating are selected accordingly.
Storage in dry conditions is advised. Prolonged moisture exposure may affect surface coating and appearance before installation.
