Pan head sheet metal screws are manufactured by Zhejiang Chance & Union Import and Export Co., Ltd. for direct fastening into sheet metal, plastic, and other light-gauge materials. The pan head has a flat bearing surface and a slightly rounded top, providing a larger contact area than a flat countersunk head while maintaining a low installed profile. The threads are designed to form or cut mating threads in the parent material during installation. These screws are produced through cold heading, thread rolling, and heat treatment where required. The product line covers Type A, Type B, Type AB, and Type C thread forms in steel, stainless steel, and brass. Usage Notes
Pilot hole diameter should be selected according to screw size, thread form, and parent material thickness. An undersized hole may cause deformation or drive failure.
Type A screws require a pre-drilled pilot hole. Type B and Type AB screws can form threads in ductile sheet metal without a pre-tapped hole.
Drive torque should be controlled to avoid stripping the recess or over-torquing the screw in thin-gauge material.
Stainless steel screws require slower driving speed and suitable lubricant to reduce galling and seizure during installation.
Dissimilar materials in the joint should be checked for galvanic corrosion risk. Material combinations and coatings are selected accordingly.
